How did it all begin?

“Starting up a successful business in a foreign country with five dollars in your pocket. I never believed much in those fairy tales about the American dream, until I experienced it firsthand.” Peter Kišš

Our director Peter Kišš would like to tell you the story of how the Aluko Group was created. We need say no more. He will tell you everything in our new video.

The ALUKO Group – proud partner of a charity run

For the third time now, Oravská Lesná has held a night run for charity. Our company, the ALUKO Group, was the general partner this year. The event’s charitable cause convinced the CEO Petra Kišš to offer his support for this interesting sports project. All proceeds from the event are donated to help handicapped children, for whom running often remains only an unfulfilled dream.

The ALUKO night run this time attracted more than 850 runners, not only from Slovakia, but also countries such as Cuba, Spain and Germany. Superb organisation, an interesting course, stylish medals for the first 800 runners and more than 1,400 people in attendance—in a nutshell, this is what the event, which has already become an established tradition in Oravská Lesná, looked like.

Prizes were awarded in eight categories. The overall winner with a time of 19 minutes and 35 seconds was Martin Rusina from Námestovo. The winner’s trophy was handed over on the podium by the director of the ALUKO Group, Peter Kišš, together with the director of Atlantis Capital, Ľuboš Žuffa.

We support talented young footballers

The ATLANTIS CUP children’s football tournament took place on Saturday, 17 August 2019 at the football pitch in Liesek. Our company, the ALUKO Group, was also a partner of this event this year. Children from Orava could once again meet up, play some sport, compete, and above all, make new friends.

Four teams from Klin, Brezovica, Tvrdošín, and of course, the home team from Liesek took part in the tournament. At times, the tension (of course, only sporting) was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. It was unclear until the very last moment which team would raise the winner’s trophy above their heads. In the end, victory was claimed by the Tvrdošín boys, who beat the home favourites Liesek in the final.

One point of interest was the penalty shooting competition, the so-called Liesek Penalty Shoot-Out. Ján Kubolek scored the best penalty, taking home a brand-new mountain bike in return for his impressive performance. The winner’s trophy was handed over by representatives of the ALUKO Group, Peter Kišš and Michal Feranec. Members of the home team also received a brand-new NIKE football kit.

Final team rankings:

  1. Tvrdošín
  2. Liesek
  3. Klin
  4. Brezovica
